Frozen Roses

This morning when I was outside waiting for my ride to show up the urge to take pictures of these tragic flowers overtook me. With the strange weather patterns we've been having this year, these poor flowers thought that spring had arrived and then were brutally informed that it had not.
Because my husband has a respiratory allergy to rose pollen, I am not particularly fond of this flower. Still I can see the beauty of their existence.

Then there is my daughter's tricycle, waiting to be played with in the snow...

Q&A a day

Today I want to tell you about this really cool journal style book I was sent for review purposes. This book asks you a different question everyday of the year, but what makes this book really cool is that it allows spaces for you to answer the same questions over a five year period. This way you can read about what you have been doing over the last few years and see how your point of view changes in the course of time.
This is a small book, about the size of my hand , therefore the amount of space provided for each entry is not very big. I am enjoying the learning the Journalling process while at the same time not being burdened by a lot of extra work being added to my busy schedule. It is my hope that by the time I am finished with this book I will be in the habit of Journalling and ready to continue the process on my own. (After five years, I'd better be!)
That being said I think that this would be a great book  for the young adult in your life, as it is a great way to inspire writing and to chronicle the changes in life.
